My question is where are the parents!

On September 19, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., Ada County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a stolen truck and trailer in the 9800 block of W. Rustica St. in Boise. After interviewing the reporting party, deputies left the area to conduct an area check in an attempt to locate the vehicle and trailer.

At approximately 12:33 p.m., the reporting party contacted Ada County Dispatch to report the stolen truck had just driven past their house. Deputies quickly returned to the area and located the truck near Maple Grove Road and Lake Hazel Road. A short pursuit ensued, with the truck traveling eastbound on Lake Hazel Road, then northbound on Maple Grove Road, then east on Middle Fork Road, and north on Saddle Creek, at a high rate of speed, before ending in a dead-end neighborhood, where a deputy conducted a PIT maneuver to end the pursuit.

A 12-year-old male juvenile was arrested and taken to a local hospital for medical clearance before being booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center on {F} Grand Theft (x3), {F} Fleeing & Eluding and {M} Resisting and Obstructing.

Anyone with information on additional suspects or outstanding stolen property, including a UTV (white 2014 Can-Am Commander) that has not yet been recovered, is asked to contact non-emergency dispatch at (208) 377-6790 or [email protected]. Today for visual tracking training I tried out a brand new training concept.

I laid out a tracking problem that spelled a 4 letter word. All capital letters. This word was inside the walls of a defined rectangle.

The training objective was to work on good team communication and to practice analytical thinking.

The word was MOVE.

They did it!

Next time I will leave more space between the letters and I will plot out my route using GPS or Cal Topo to make it easier to set up

Since our new website has been up and running for awhile we are going to take it one step further. Starting September 1 we are going to try Google ads to increase business. We are looking forward to seeing if we get more business Leads.
