U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has received enough petitions to reach the cap for the additional 19,000 H-2B visas made available for returning workers for the early second half of fiscal year (FY) 2025 with start dates from April 1 to May 14, 2025, under the H-2B supplemental cap temporary final rule (FY 2025 TFR).

April 18, 2025, was the final receipt date for petitions requesting supplemental H-2B visas under the FY 2025 early second half returning worker allocation.

🚨 H-2B Candidates: Be Ready! 🚨

The H-2B Second Half Cap appears exhausted, and no I-129 receipt notices have been issued since March 5. However, USCIS has yet to make an official announcement.

📌 If you're already in the U.S. on an H-2B visa and looking for work, now is the time to prepare!

✅ Employers must wait at least 15 days after the official announcement before hiring return workers.
✅ April 1 start dates are no longer possible for new petitions.
✅ Candidates already in the U.S. should have their documents ready for when jobs open up!
