🚨 Housing Market Update 🚨

Redfin’s latest report reveals that 56,000 home purchase agreements fell through in June, making up 14.9% of contracts. That’s the highest percentage for any June on record and the highest this year.

Even though some contracts have been canceled, there’s still great news in the market! Redfin reports that home prices actually dropped by 2.9% from last month and 5.8% from a year ago—marking the biggest declines in nearly a year. 📉

While mortgage rates are still hovering above 6%, they’ve seen a slight decline in recent months. Plus, there’s optimism on the horizon as the Federal Reserve is expected to start cutting interest rates in September, with potential cuts continuing through 2025. That said, market experts like Redfin Senior Economist Elijah de la Campa suggest that waiting for mortgage rates to fall isn’t the best strategy.
