"A Colorado manufacturer is expanding into Farmington—and this one is backed by a real project.

New Mexico announced on June 9, 2026 that Durango Machining Innovations is expanding into the Farmington area after securing a 16-acre property just north of the city.

The state says the expansion is expected to create 22 high-wage jobs, is backed by $250,000 in Local Economic Development Act funding, and is projected to generate more than $22 million in economic impact over 10 years.

New jobs can mean new housing demand, relocations and opportunities for local homeowners.
