The editing cat is getting serious about the cuts that need to be made.
Business tips from over 100 years ago, they can't be any good, can they? Surprisingly, they can. Wisdom from our past is just as relevant today as it was then. It may be even more relevant now while we reassess... well, everything. Please check out my post.
Since 20/20 is considered hindsight and we’re all reassessing how we do everything, there has never been a better time to look back and see what we can learn from the women who have come before us. You’d be surprised what they can teach us and how much of their advice is still relevant today. I ...
We’ve all been touched by the Coronavirus. We’ve all had to adapt. How are you using the power of the pause to change your life and business? I’m out making videos in the horse field. While the boys didn’t visit this time, please check it out.
Lunch came via a robot today! In Fairfax City, Virginia there are still a few places left for take out. So, I decided that when a client pays me, I’m going to help another local business. So today it was Coyote Grill. The application that you can use to have the robot deliver your food is Starship.
BREAKING NEWS (possibly good news too!)
In the ever changing world of government funded Coronavirus relief programs, the SBA just made the following announcement to those seeking an Economic Impact Disaster Loan ("EIDL"):
On March 29, 2020, following the passage of the CARES Act, the SBA provided small business owners and non-profits impacted by COVID-19 with the opportunity to obtain up to a $10,000 Advance on their Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL). The Advance is available as part of the full EIDL application and will be transferred into the account you provide shortly after your application is submitted. To ensure that the greatest number of applicants can receive assistance during this challenging time, the amount of your Advance will be determined by the number of your pre-disaster (i.e., as of January 31, 2020) employees. The Advance will provide $1,000 per employee up to a maximum of $10,000.
Hopefully, now that the SBA has some guidance on how to allocated the EIDL advances, it can start releasing funds to business owners who applied for help. Fingers crossed.
We're all in this together.
We’ve had a lot of rain lately so even the horses have been staying at home (in their stalls). What they did when I finally let them out was interesting. Check it out.

The CDC has issued new guidance to allow essential workers to remain on the job after exposure to someone testing positive for COVID-19, if those workers are without symptoms and
1. The Employee is prescreened each day - Employers should measure the employee’s temperature and assess symptoms prior to them starting work. Ideally, temperature checks should happen before the individual enters the facility.
2. the Employee self-monitors under the supervision of their employer’s occupational health program. I.E. regular check ins to ensure the employee does not develop symptoms;
3. The employee wears a face mask at all times while in the workplace for 14 days after last exposure. Employers can issue face masks or can approve employees’ supplied cloth face coverings in the event of shortages.
4. The employee maintains 6 feet and practice social distancing as work duties permit in the workplace.
5. All areas are cleaned and disinfected including offices, bathrooms, common areas, shared electronic equipment routinely.
So, yes, it is okay for people who may have been exposed to the virus to continue work IF the above restrictions and safety checks are followed. Stay healthy everyone.
