An important legal update for our community.
A critical deadline has been set in the El Paso Diocese bankruptcy case. The court has established September 11, 2026, as the official Bar Date—the final deadline for all survivors to submit their claims.
The scope of this case is deep, with documented accounts spanning decades, primarily between the 1950s and the late 1990s. In 2019, the Diocese released a list identifying at least 30 clergy members credibly accused of abuse.
If any of these names are familiar to you, or if you or a loved one experienced unreported abuse within the Diocese, this is a vital moment to seek the justice you deserve.
