Did you know you may still have legal options; even if the vehicle that caused your injuries was fleeing from police?

Our client was out for a run when a stolen vehicle evading law enforcement struck a fire hydrant. The hydrant's cap became airborne, striking our client and causing a fractured femur.

Alan attended in his role as a Commissioner with the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism, joining members of the Illinois Supreme Court and SIU Law leadership as students took an oath of professionalism and officially began their law school journey.

Alan also had the honor of presenting SIU Law pins to members of the incoming class.

Being partially at fault doesn’t always mean you’re unable to recover compensation.

Illinois follows a modified comparative negligence rule. You may still be able to recover damages when you are 50% or less at fault, although your compensation may be reduced based on your percentage of responsibility.
