10th Annual Bike Swap Coming Up This Weekend
The 10th annual United Way Bike Swap is coming up this weekend, and organizers are expecting a big turnout. They also added a free movie showing this year.

JOB: Domestic Violence Staff Attorney
LOCATION: Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota, Brainerd, Minnesota
ORGANIZATION: Legal Aid Service of Northeastern Minnesota (LASNEM) provides legal representation to low-income and senior citizens. LASNEM serves 11 counties with offices in Duluth, Grand Rapids, Virginia and satellite offices in Brainerd and Pine City.
DUTIES: May include, but are not limited to: providing rapid, holistic advocacy and legal services to Crow Wing County survivors of domestic abuse; managing a caseload; providing advice and brief services for clients where appropriate; appearing in administrative and judicial forums; and developing, organizing, and working with a coalition to create a Domestic Violence Court in Crow Wing County.
QUALIFICATIONS: Law degree. A license to practice law in Minnesota. Valid drivers license. Poverty law and/or family law experience preferred. Demonstrated oral and written advocacy skills. Sensitivity to the needs and problems of low-income individuals and survivors of domestic violence.
SALARY RANGE: $45,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.

This site is designed to make the information on LawHelpMN accessible on smartphones and other "smart" mobile devices, with a variety of operating systems such as Droid and iPhone. You can now find legal aid organizations, and many useful articles, forms, and resources on your mobile devices at http://m.lawhelpmn.org. Nearly all the articles and forms on the full site are available on the mobile site, and some of the resources were reformatted for ease of use on the mobile site. We finally have some numbers from the Bike Swap to share. If you were here for it, you should already know this, but it was way bigger this year. Here you have it;
100% donation bikes was way up. 118 bikes sold = $4,795 donated to United Way. Thank you all who donated!
Total bikes sold was 564 with a grand total donation to United Way of Greater Duluth = $13,000!!! That is the biggest donation we have ever given them, so awesome.
A huge thanks to all of the volunteers, sponsors, and all who came out and supported this great event.

Her experience also includes 16 years as an independent consultant concentrating on litigation technology, electronic discovery, and litigation management. Together with her prior law firm experience as litigation support professional and complex litigation trial paralegal, Julie has more than 35 years of litigation-related experience.

Due to the DTA bus accident outside of the LASNEM Duluth office in the Ordean Building, there is no Superior Street access by foot or vehicle between 4th Ave. W and 6th Ave. W. If you need to access the Ordean Building, you will need to get in on the Michigan Street level.
