📢 LIVESCAN LEVEL-2 BACKGROUND CHECK AND FINGERPRINTING SERVICES FEE INCREASE UPDATE

Effective October 1, 2026, federal fingerprint processing fees have increased.

The FBI fingerprint fee increased resulting in an increase to the applicable cost of fingerprint-based background screenings. The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse has confirmed that screening costs will increase as a result of this federal fee change.

This is not an additional fee imposed by our business. The federal processing fee is a government-mandated charge that must be collected as part of applicable fingerprint-based criminal history checks.

Florida law also requires LiveScan providers to collect the applicable state and federal processing fees when submitting fingerprints for criminal-history screening. See Florida Statutes §§ 435.04, 435.08, and 943.053.

Florida amended its rule governing marriages involving incarcerated inmates. The amendment became effective August 20, 2026, so this is very new.

The applicable rule is Florida Administrative Code Rule 33-503.002 — “Marriage of an Inmate While Incarcerated.”

We are scheduled to conduct two ceremonies: One in Polk County South County Jail and the other in Hardee County Jail.

If you or anyone you know, is ready to get married to an inmate incarcerated in Polk, Highlands or Hardee County, we are happy to conduct the ceremony at their facility.
