Employee Spotlight: Sharla Lowell, Solutions Consultant

This week we’re highlighting Sharla Lowell, one of our Solutions Consultants and a true Marketplace Homes lifer!

A few fun facts about Sharla:
🌍 She grew up in Germany and attended German schools there.
☕ Her go-to order is a Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha Latte (no whip), paired with Dot’s Pretzels.
✈️ If she could have any superpower, she’d teleport anywhere in the world to travel.
🚤 Outside of work, she loves boating on Lake St. Clair with family and friends, walking her new puppy Bella, and spending time with her almost-2-year-old grandson, Peter.
💬 Her advice to her younger self: not all life changes are bad, use the lessons from them to grow stronger.
🤝 Her favorite part of working at Marketplace Homes is forming new connections every day, and the encouragement from her team to expand her territory in the Coastal Carolinas.

🌳 Maintenance Monday: Inspect the Trees Around Your Home

As leaves start to fall, it’s a good time to take a walk around your property and check the trees.

Loose or overhanging branches can become a real problem once fall storms roll in, especially if they’re hanging near your roof, power lines, or windows. A quick inspection now can help you catch weak limbs before wind and rain put them to the test.

A few things to look for:
🍃 Dead or dry branches that snap easily
🍃 Limbs hanging over the roof or driveway
🍃 Trees leaning more than usual
🍃 Cracks or splits in the trunk

If anything looks questionable, it’s worth calling in a professional tree service before the season gets going. A little prevention now can save you a lot of cleanup, or worse, later.
