We took a good hit yesterday and I hope as a community we faired well. If you need help with a roof or water issues I highly recommend this company coming in town to help. The owner is a good friend and trustworthy to do the work correctly! Many fly by night people may try to help with bad intentions.

Be safe and help a neighbor!

Whether you are evacuating or not. Make sure to take videos and photos of the outside and inside of your homes. This can help with insurance and getting hurricane damage fixed if there is any.

Same for businesses too. Take photos and videos of everything for your records.

What does Mandatory evacuation mean?
Okaloosa County has issued a mandatory evacuation or Zones A (red) and B (tan).

No one is coming to your door to force you out. That is not how this works.

This means that once conditions become unsafe, first responders will not be sent into Zones A and B until the storm has passed. If you stay and something goes wrong, you are on your own until it's over. No police, no fire, no EMS.

That is the trade you are making.

Zone A is every mobile home, RV, campsite, and the highest-risk surge areas.

Zone B is the waterfront: the harbor, Holiday Isle, the bayfront, and the low ground along the Gulf.
