🏠₿ YOUR BITCOIN COULD HELP BUY YOUR NEXT HOME

Homebuyers may have a new way to come up with a down payment—and it involves Bitcoin. 👀

A new mortgage option from Better Mortgage and Coinbase allows eligible buyers to use Bitcoin as collateral for a separate loan, rather than selling their crypto to fund the down payment.

Here’s the interesting part:

₿ You don’t have to sell your Bitcoin
🏡 Bitcoin is pledged as collateral
💰 The Bitcoin-backed loan can help fund the down payment
📉 No margin calls if Bitcoin’s value drops
⚠️ But the collateral can be liquidated if the borrower becomes more than 60 days delinquent
🇺🇸 Currently available to eligible U.S. residents with a verified Coinbase account

And there’s an important catch: borrowers must pledge Bitcoin worth at least 250% of the down-payment loan.

Crypto + real estate = a pretty interesting combination.

🏡 New Construction Just Got More Interesting for Buyers

If you’ve been considering a brand-new home, this is a market worth watching.

National new-home prices fell 2.3% in July to $393,800—the lowest level in five years. At the same time, new-home inventory climbed to a 9.6-month supply, giving buyers more choices and more negotiating power.

And here’s the part I find especially interesting for Texas buyers: the South saw new-home sales drop 13% in July, putting more pressure on builders to compete for buyers.
