I was proud (and nervous!) to speak in favor of preserving City Hall at Wednesday’s city council meeting. I had not planned to speak, and ended up being the last speaker of the day. Many people spoke about the need to redevelop downtown and connect it with South Dallas - I agree! This is not an either or. Dallas needs to take care of its facilities, and use its resources in parts of town that have been neglected. There is no reason we can’t keep our city hall and also redevelop the land around it. Dallas has so many issues, I don’t think tearing down city hall is the solution to any of them.

The final result was an agreement to gather more data and explore all options.

We live in a country where the officials we elected are more concerned with pleasing billionaires than serving the people. I hope Dallas will do the right thing and save our City Hall.

Skillman is off the market again! After a lot of interest, we found new tenants who love midcentury architecture and can’t wait to be the new caretakers of this special home.

Midcentury homes are historic too - and one of my favorite styles to work with!

In November I leased this charming guest house in the Peak’s Suburban historic district, and the top half of the duplex in the main house will be available for lease in January! There aren’t a ton of guest houses available, and this one leased in just 2 weeks.

Exciting news! To better serve my clients and take my business to the next level, I have decided to join Dave Perry-Miller! When I realized that so many of my favorite agents were all at the same office, the choice was clear. Earlier this month I was proud to co-host a fundraiser for , An Evening of Art & Architecture. A small team of three of us worked with the homeowner to put together a beautiful evening. We exhibited 83 art works from Talley Dunn Gallery, our own board member and artist displayed a custom painting for the event, and we hosted over 150 guests all in a gorgeous Frank Welch home. Thanks to our generous sponsors, speakers, and guests we raised over $20,000 for Preservation Dallas. I am proud of the work we did and hope to make this an annual event! 🥂🖼️
