There is a reason I have spent more than 15 years doing this work.

Behind every agreement, legal clearance, and parentage order are real people trusting us with something deeply personal.

Intended parents who have already traveled a long road to build their family. Gestational carriers making an extraordinary commitment. Donors helping make parenthood possible. And the professionals working alongside all of us to support these journeys.

That is why, at DBR Law, we have never wanted to simply be the attorneys who handle the legal piece.

We want to be the people you trust to call with a question. The team that listens when something does not feel right. The counsel who understands the agreement, but also understands the people behind it. And when a journey becomes more complicated than expected, we want you to know we are still right there beside you.

This field continues to evolve. Our commitment does not.

To know this work deeply. To protect the people who trust us. To collaborate with the professionals around them. And to bring experience, compassion, and humanity to every journey we are fortunate enough to be part of.

Whether you are building your family, considering becoming a surrogate or donor, or looking for a legal partner you can confidently recommend, **we would be honored to be in your corner.** 🤍

Family is not defined by how it begins—it's defined by the love, commitment, and intention that bring it together.

On LGBTQ+ Family Day, we celebrate the parents who dreamed of growing their families, the communities that supported them, and the children who are surrounded by love because someone never gave up on that dream.

At DBR Law, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build the family they envision. It is an honor to help protect those journeys and advocate for the legal recognition of families created through assisted reproduction.

Today, we celebrate the beautiful diversity of modern families and the reminder that there is no single path to parenthood—only the path that is right for your family.

Happy LGBTQ+ Family Day and start of Pride Month from all of us at DBR Law.

Gestational surrogacy, when done ethically, transparently, and with strong legal protections in place, is not “modern-day slavery.”

It is women making informed choices about their own bodies, their own lives, and their own ability to help create families.

The recent statements coming from the Florida Attorney General are not only deeply harmful to the surrogacy community, but dangerous to the broader conversation surrounding bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. Words matter. And comparing carefully screened, fully consensual surrogacy arrangements to human trafficking ignores the reality of what ethical surrogacy actually looks like.

At its core, ethical surrogacy is built on consent, education, independent legal representation, medical and psychological screening, and the right of all parties to make informed decisions every step of the way. Surrogates are not powerless. They are strong, thoughtful women who deserve respect, not rhetoric that diminishes their agency or autonomy.

Families are built in many different ways. Protecting the right of people to choose how and when they build those families matters. Protecting a woman’s right to decide what she does with her own body matters.

At DBR Law, we will always advocate for ethical practices, compassionate protections, and the right of individuals to make deeply personal reproductive choices free from fear, stigma, or political attacks.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month which offers a reminder that behind every surrogacy journey, fertility treatment, legal process, and long-awaited dream of parenthood are real people carrying very real emotions.

At DBR Law, we see firsthand that assisted reproduction is about so much more than contracts and court orders. It’s hope, vulnerability, trust, grief, excitement, fear, resilience, and love — often all at once.

Whether you are an Intended Parent, Surrogate, Egg Donor, or part of the support system surrounding these journeys, your mental and emotional wellbeing matters. We believe compassionate advocacy means caring not only about protecting our clients legally, but also supporting them as humans through every step of the process.

This month, and every month, we encourage kindness, honest conversations, and continued support for mental health within the fertility and ART community. No one should have to navigate these journeys alone.

Mother’s Day weekend can hold so many emotions all at once.

This weekend, we’re thinking about the moms. The moms-to-be. Those still waiting and hoping. The surrogates carrying with love. The egg donors giving families possibilities. The grandmothers, aunties, bonus moms, and lifelong friends who step in and help hold everything together. The intended parents dreaming of the day they finally hear someone call them “Mom.”

We’re thinking about the village. The people who show up with support, encouragement, patience, coffee, meals, hugs, late-night phone calls, and unwavering love. Because no one gets through this journey alone.

And for those navigating infertility, loss, uncertainty, or complicated feelings around this weekend, we see you too. Your story matters. Your grief matters. Your hope matters.

At DBR Law, we are constantly reminded that families are built in many different ways, but the one thing they all have in common is love. Fierce, resilient, beautiful love.

This weekend, we hope every person who nurtures, supports, dreams, protects, carries, or loves deeply feels surrounded by that love in return. Happy Mother's Day đź’•

✨ National Infertility Awareness Week 2026 ✨

This year, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association reminds us that this journey is More Than. More than statistics. More than assumptions. More than one story, one path, or one definition of family.

At DBR Law, we see the courage behind every appointment, every decision, every waiting period, every loss, every hope-filled next step.

We see the Intended Parents longing to grow their family.
We see the Donors and Surrogates who give with compassion.
We see the resilience it takes to keep believing.

Family building is deeply personal. It is emotional. It is layered. And every story deserves dignity, support, and care.

This week and always, we stand with those navigating infertility and the many paths to parenthood. You are not alone, and your journey matters.

You have our support, always.
