Maury Abreu is the CEO and Chief Instructor of Omega Protective Concepts, LLC. Omega's training methodology includes: Mindset for Winning Violent Encounters, Pre-Attack Behavioral Detection & Situational Awareness, Reality-Based Combatives and Defensive Tactics. Maury is also a published author for Paladin Press, sharing some of his knowledge and passion for knife combatives on Kelly McCann's Sudd

He specializes in Extreme Close-Quarters Personal Protection, Combatives (Hand-to-Hand Combat), Knife and Firearm deployment and defense. He has more than 20 years of combined Military, Law Enforcement, and Counterterrorism experience and has instructed civilian, police, and military personnel in personal-defense systems. He is a certified instructor in Use of Force, Military Combatives, Fi****ms, Edged Weapons, Restraint and Control, Chemical Sprays, Batons, Physical Fitness, and Boxing. Marine Corps at various duty stations, where he provided security at sensitive sites and instructed military personnel in the operation and deployment of various weapons and tactics. Shortly after September 11, 2001, He began working for a government agency responsible for training individuals who operate globally and independently without backup, specifically in extreme close quarters combat and counterterrorism.

The Father and Son experience powered by is a unique experience and takes its name from the rigorous training regimen of ancient Spartan warriors.

This modern-day adventure is designed to foster deep bonds, resilience, and personal growth between fathers and their sons.

Over the course of the next few days , participants embark on a series of physical and mental challenges that test their limits, encourage teamwork, and build character.

It provides an environment where fathers and sons can disconnect from the distractions of everyday life and focus on each other.

By the end, fathers and sons walk away not only with lasting memories but also with a strengthened relationship, a better understanding of each other, and a sense of accomplishment

This is a rite of passage that celebrates the bond between father and son.

So much of today’s training isn’t truly preparing you for real-life violent encounters. Training must simulate high-pressure, rapidly evolving, chaotic situations when faced with a committed attacker(s). Drills and scenarios MUST account for unpredictability. 🛑 Lastly, there should be mixing of disciplines. For example, training should include fighting an attacker OFF of you, while you’re on your back, and armed. Threat responses that include wide-ranging response options with various tools.
