Complete vertical integration of Freeland Apartment Communities is now complete!
We now own, operate and manage the entire fly wheel!
Over the past 5 1/2 years I’ve acquired 1856 units of apartments all in West Cleveland and the sourrounding suburbs like Lakewood, parma, Berea, brookpark, Wooster, parma heights, north Olmsted.
We’re now the 16th largest owner of apartments in all of the Cleveland Market.
All near and around the Hopkins airport and the new $3.4B Browns Stadium development.
All B and C class workforce housing for the everyday Clevelander!
Today we bought another 184 units.
And I started with wholesaling! With no money!
30 months ago we had the vision of removing all 3rd party management and self managing everything.
We figured no one would ever care about the resident experience as much as we would.
Today is the final internal takeover of the final 408 unit from 3rd party mgmt.
As of tomorrow Freeland Apartment Communities will have a portfolio of:
1856 units all managed by our own property management company - 950 Mgmt
1856 Units all improved by our own construction company - Freeland Construction.
1856 units all serviced by our own laundry company - 950 Laundry
1856 units all operated at our Headquarters
At Freeland Ventures
1856 units all put together by a partnership with passive investors and my general partners Glenn and Tyler and me.
2 home offices on the west side of Cleveland and Berea.
We’ve grown from start over start up in 2020 during Covid……to 67 employees and $20M a year in rental income.
Trust me….There’s still plenty of work to do.
But we’re in full control of our future and the lively hood of our staff, their families and the resident experience of over 5,000 residents.
No one will care more than we will.
As founder and CEO days like today are rare and few and far between.
When 6 years and especially the last 30 months of hard work is finally come together into one enterprise.
