Big changes coming to Ohio's "distracted driving" laws! The use of a cell phone while driving will now be a "primary offense" - meaning that LEOs can immediately execute a traffic stop (ie, pull you over) if they observe you using a cell phone in your vehicle. Penalties can include a $150 fine AND 2 points on your license - in addition to whatever else they find while they're snooping around your vehicle during the stop. 😉

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today signed Senate Bill 288, which significantly strengthens laws in Ohio related to the use of cell phones and other electronic devices while driving.
