Last week, I was sworn back onto the Board of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
I previously served on the Board for six years before stepping away to focus on family and other priorities. Returning now feels especially meaningful.
The first time I served, I was a young attorney building my law firm and trying to figure things out as I went. Today, I return with a very different perspective. Years of experience, the privilege of leading a successful law firm, and a much deeper appreciation for the power of community, mentorship, and leadership have shaped who I am both professionally and personally.
I’m honored to support incoming President Caroleann Gallagher, First Vice President Kelly Sabo Garden, and Second Vice President Molly Condon as they lead the organization into its next chapter.
There is something special about returning to a place that helped shape your journey—not because you need it, but because you’re now in a position to give back.
A lot has changed over the years, but one thing hasn’t: my belief in the importance of supporting women in the legal profession and creating opportunities for connection, growth, and community.
Grateful for the opportunity to serve again and excited for what’s ahead.
