"A car accident one year followed by a nearly fatal crash a few months later left my mom with multiple complications. One was severe pain in her hip, limiting her movement and completely eliminating her physical activity.

After months of doctors appointments and physical therapy we decided to try deep laser treatment. I applied for Care Credit and booked her for 12 sessions. Then, Covid showed up and interrupted her treatment - all appointments stopped.

I didn't think it was fair I got stuck with the whole bill when she didn't get all her treatments. I repeatedly called and emailed the facility, and when I finally got in touch with one of the staff members, they simply said, 'There are no refunds on unused appointments'.

At that point, I called LegalShield. The attorney at my Provider Law Firm who called me back had me send in all the paperwork I'd signed for my mom's treatment, which he reviewed, then he wrote a letter on my behalf.

That one letter resulted in a refund for $1,133.00. This has paid for my membership for the next almost 4 years, and it it was all covered under my monthly subscription."

"My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer and had been going through many treatments as we worked with an oncologist. At one point he said her body couldn't take more chemo, so we needed to get a particular chemo patch. She would need about a dozen of these patches, then he'd let us know if she needed more after that. Of course, we were going to do whatever it took.

The doctor wrote the prescription and sent it in. I went to the pharmacy to pick it up and the pharmacist was devastated as she told me the patches were $13,000.00 apiece. I was not prepared to cover that amount on the spot, so I told the pharmacist I'd come back after I figured some things out.

We'd already worked with our LegalShield Provider Firm here in Texas through much of wife's treatment so, I thought I'd call them to see if there was anything that could be done. “We were rear-ended while stopped at a light. Could have been worse. The 19-year old who hit us accepted fault. Our car was a little damaged, and while my husband wasn’t hurt, my back and shoulder were affected and I ended up needing to go to physical therapy to loosen things up. Her insurance was nice, or so I thought!

The agent asked if I wanted to ‘close my case’ on medical and offered me $500 ‘for my trouble’. I thought it was a nice gesture, but when she sent papers for me to sign, I decided to call LegalShield first.
