I am excited to welcome you to Vandalia Law PLLC, the region's newest professional services firm, and its new page.
This new venture was a "long time coming." I've practiced law at the highest levels for nearly 25 years. From partner at two of West Virginia's largest law firms to my incredible experience being nominated by an American President as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of West Virginia, I have the broad-based business, civil, and criminal experience at the federal and state levels that most attorney's never have the opportunity to achieve.
I've worked hard to build a solid record over more than 30 years of professional experience. I could have called the new venture "Mike Stuart Law Offices" or something similar, but my goal isn't a small firm built for me. Instead, my vision is a regional full-service competitor better able to deliver results and provide real value for the people of West Virginia and the region. It is time for a new competitor in the marketplace.
"Big Law" has its place in the market for certain types of clients and enterprises but the reality, today, is technology and efficiency have replaced fancy offices, expensive office space, and massive payrolls. The reality is that most clients rarely, if ever, see their attorney in person. Zoom, Teams, cloud-based partners and a host of advanced technology have replaced the need for "Big Infrastructure & Overhead." Clients expect results. Today's clients demand value without compromising capability and expertise. Enter "Vandalia Law."
For those of you who are wonder, "Why the name Vandalia?" Well, three reasons. First, had there been a 14th Colony prior to the founding of this great nation, its proposed name was "Vandalia" and it would have been comprised from present day West Virginia, the northeastern part of Kentucky, and part of what we know as Ohio and Pennsylvania. Second, three names were considered for West Virginia at its founding- Augusta, Vandalia (thought to be the favorite), and, the right and correct name, West Virginia. Finally, I intend to build a "competitor" in the full "Vandalia" region as proposed originally. I am looking for partners and associates to join me. I am looking for self-motivated, accomplished attorneys and professionals with a drive and hunger to build a new tradition. Trust me, we can do this.
Our "status quo" is that we do not accept the status quo. We make "getting there" easier!
