Dolly gave this city her music, her generosity, and a standard of kindness few will ever match. Today, Nashville gives a little of it back. Herb Williams’ Holo Dolly now graces 2nd Avenue, brought downtown by TheDISTRICTNashville and 2nd Avenue Strong. At 5 p.m., venues across the city will play “9 to 5” together. The evening closes with tribute fireworks over downtown at 9:25.

The celebration continues through the weekend with Dolly-inspired menus, workshops, and fundraisers across town. Many benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and the Give Like Dolly Fund.

We’re proud to call Nashville home, and we certainly were lucky to have Dolly representing us with such grace, humour and integrity. Rest in peace to Tennessee’s finest.

First, gratitude. Thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday to The Cowan . 7 Bridges delivered an unforgettable night of Eagles hits, and this room showed up in a big way. Rolling Stone calls you the best Eagles tribute band on earth, and Wednesday proved why.

The numbers say it all: with support from our generous sponsors, we had 113 tickets sold and $4,860 raised for four organizations doing incredible work in Middle Tennessee. Thank you for letting us be part of what you do:
