Woman play many roles and whether we are married, single, are in a partnership or are caregivers for older and/or disabled family members, all women should educate themselves about estate planning. This webinar will review documents that all women need and discuss certain pitfalls in estate planning.
• For those who have recently married or divorced, women need to update their estate planning documents and remove an ex-spouse as the beneficiary.
• How to appoint a guardian for your children and set up a trust so that a trustee can manage their inheritance until your children can responsibly manage the assets.
• Women are more acutely impacted by the death or disability of a loved one. We are often the caregivers and are more often widowed. This webinar will discuss our role in carrying out the wishes of our loved ones and ensuring that they have documents in place, including a POA and health care directive.
