JUST SOLD x 2 | We listed this Meadows at Hickory Creek home back in mid-June, which somehow feels like forever ago after everything that happened between then and now!

After 14 showings over the summer, I actually met our eventual buyers while hosting an open house. They were working with their own agent, but we connected, and it took a little time, but eventually we were able to put a deal together. 🙌

Meanwhile, we were working on the other half of the puzzle: finding my sellers their next home. A couple of offers didn't pan out and then one contract we had fell out of contingency, and I'm pretty sure we saw almost every available home in Harvest. 😂 But we kept going until we found one that turned out to be a great fit.

When BOTH homes finally closed, we joked that it felt like a tiny miracle. A lot of moving pieces, a lot of patience, plenty of ups and downs, but we got there!

So happy for my sellers as they start their next chapter in Harvest, and for the new owners who get to call this beautifully updated home theirs.

So what exactly is being paused, and what’s still moving forward? I’m breaking that down in this week’s update, plus a look at what buyers actually chose last week and where our inventory sits now.

JUST SOLD | This home has always had a pretty great story. Originally built by former Dallas Cowboy Nate Newton, it has been loved and cared for by my sellers for the past 21 years. Two decades of memories were made on these 6.5 acres, so saying goodbye to a property this unique was understandably bittersweet.

But I think they can feel really good about who came along to carry the torch. ❤️

I met the buyers at an open house I was hosting here. They were visiting from Chicago to celebrate their son’s birthday and weren’t even really in the market for a home. They decided to stop by on a whim…and fell in love.

Suddenly they could see a whole new vision for their family - moving to Texas, being closer to their son, and having a property with enough space for more of their family to come together and visit. What started as a random stop at an open house turned into, “What if we actually did this?”

And the next thing you know, we were under contract.

After 21 years with one family, this Copper Canyon property gets to begin a brand-new chapter with another. It has been such a joy getting to know and work with both families through this one.

Best wishes to my sellers as they say goodbye to a home filled with memories, and congratulations to the new owners as they begin making their own. I have a feeling this property has a lot more good stories ahead of it.
