Congratulations to Tiffani Sterrette Collins and Katrina Brockmeyer on their reported opinion. This opinion now extends and protects the rights of minor plaintiff's actions against the State of Maryland.

"Attorney Collins said the opinion will have a wide impact. “I think minor plaintiffs will benefit from this ruling for years to come,” she said."

This opening session brings together civil rights practitioners from diverse practice settings—solo practitioners, large firm attorneys, and nonprofit advocates—to have an honest conversation about what it means to do this work right now. Our panelists will share how they are meaningfully participating in civil rights cases despite resource constraints and political headwinds, and how they build coalitions with other attorneys and organizations even when everything seems to be on fire.

For attorneys who want to take on civil rights matters but do not know where to start, this session will demystify the process.
