Chambers USA released its 2026 guide, and for the 22nd consecutive year, Reed Claymon has been recognized as a leading healthcare law firm in Texas, this time appearing in Band 2, the firm's highest placement in the guide's history.

Chambers describes us as "a compact group advising on regulatory, operational and transactional matters" for hospitals, health systems, physician practices, and community hospitals across the state and beyond. Seven of our attorneys are individually recognized this year: Kevin Reed, Hilary Young, Louise Joy, Jennifer Claymon, Leah Stewart, Robert Spurck, and Trent Krienke.

This is a tremendous honor for which we are truly grateful. The clients who took the time to speak with Chambers researchers made this possible. Thank you.

In Texas, Juneteenth is a familiar part of our story. On June 19, 1865, Union troops arrived in Galveston and read General Order No. 3, enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas and announcing freedom for more than 250,000 enslaved people.

Black Texans began gathering soon after to remember and celebrate that day, and by 1980 Juneteenth was recognized as a state holiday known as Emancipation Day in Texas. In 2021, it became a federal holiday, prompting more communities, schools, and organizations across the country to learn and teach this history.

Juneteenth is both a celebration of freedom and a reminder of how long it took for that freedom to be enforced.

Today, we pause to honor the generations who kept this observance alive and to reflect on what their experience continues to mean for our state and our nation.

March health focus: National Doctors' Day – March 30.

National Doctors' Day traces back to 1933, when a small community in Winder, Georgia, first set aside a day to honor physicians, later recognized nationally by Congress and the President. Each year on March 30, people across the United States pause to acknowledge physicians' role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing illness, and in advancing the science and practice of medicine.

On National Doctors' Day, people across the United States express appreciation for physicians' work in diagnosing, treating, and preventing illness.
