Attorney Roderick Bridges BIO

Attorney Roderick BRIDGES is a former Judge in DeKalb County; has 22 years of legal experience; and is a lifelong Public Servant. BRIDGES brings experience from both sides of the bench, and is currently in private practice serving hard-working citizens to ensure justice and fairness, and to help make a difference in the communities in which we live. Several articles have been published that highlight BRIDGES’ legal work including “The Power of a Hand-up – Ending the School to Prison Pipeline”; “Mentoring: Breaking the Cycle of Low Expectations”; and “Roderick Bridges Fights Human Trafficking”. BRIDGES is an active member with the 100 Black Men of DeKalb; Vice President of the Decatur Lions Club; Leadership DeKalb 2013 Graduate; and currently serves on the Justice Reform Committee for the DeKalb NAACP. BRIDGES is a graduate of Xavier University; earned a Master in Public Health degree from Tulane University; and earned a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University in Missouri. BRIDGES is a proud father of two; a daughter in the US Navy; and a son who’s a rising 10th grader.
