*I am the wife/mom/girlfriend of an accused/convicted former s*x offender.
*I agree to contribute in making this a safe place by keeping discussions

confidential. (Mum's the word.)
*I agree not to bash on the husbands or any of the other wives. (Having rotten tomatoes flung at you doesn't feel too good.)
*I understand there is no competition in the group. Each woman's voice has value and importance even when I disagree with her. (There's not a trophy.)
*I agree to keep The Community free of any solicitation in order to maintain a setting where vulnerability and courage can fully flourish.
*I agree to communicate any concerns/issues with the Community Managers via email or FB private message.

Achieving justice in response to s*xual violence is complex, and we should treat the Weinstein conviction with some caution.

“In her research on Restore, Koss found that s*xual assault “survivor victims say that they want justice that validates the legitimacy of their victimization, gives voice to their harm, empowers them to influence how their case is conducted, focuses on offender behavior and not on theirs, and involves them in determining the consequences imposed on the responsible person.” If there is one thing we’ve learned from the Harvey Weinstein trial, it’s that the criminal justice system does not meet these goals. Maybe it’s time to add the restorative justice as an option to the choices available to s*xual assault survivors.”

In the Harvey Weinstein s*xual assault trial, cross-examination has been brutal. Now some assault survivors are advocating for an alternative to the criminal justice system that focuses on the behavior of the perpetrator and not the behavior of the victim.
