Here’s a simple checklist I recommend before closing the books:

✔️ Reconcile all bank & credit card accounts

✔️ Review A/R & follow up on outstanding balances

✔️ Clean up A/P and confirm vendor balances

✔️ Record accruals & prepaid expenses properly

✔️ Review payroll, bonuses, and contractor payments

✔️ Verify fixed assets & depreciation schedules
