The mother of slain University of West Georgia student, Anna Jones, represented by the law firm Clay, Taulbee, Myers, has filed a lawsuit against Richard Sigman, a former professor at the University of West Georgia, and the local bars that negligently overserved him. Georgia law says that landlords can be held partially accountable for foreseeable crimes on their property. Clay, Taulbee, & Myers believe property owners should meet the standard of care to keep their property safe or be held liable for negligent security.

It is up to the survivors of violent crime and the families of victims to stand up and demand justice. Help us send a message to property owners, property management companies, and the community at large that we're not going to tolerate crime in apartment communities.
