Here’s what to check before you fall in love with a home:

🚗 Overflow Parking - If every curb is packed at all hours, that becomes your daily reality too.

🏚️ Deferred Maintenance on the Street - Peeling paint and neglected lawns around you can affect your home’s future resale value. Buyers notice the entire block.

📡 Noise You Miss During the Showing - A quiet street at 2 PM can feel very different at 7 AM on a Tuesday. Visit in the morning, afternoon, evening, and even on the weekend.

🏠 Too Many “For Sale” Signs on One Street - It’s worth taking a second look. Why are so many people leaving?

💡 Poor Street Lighting - Especially important if you’ll be arriving home after dark. Walk the neighborhood at night.

🚦 Cut-Through Traffic - Some neighborhoods become shortcuts during rush hour. Speed, noise, and safety issues can quickly become your problem.

🏗️ What’s Behind the House - Rail lines, commercial lots, apartment developments, and future projects can significantly change your living experience. Always check what has been approved or zoned nearby.

Don’t make this mistake. It’s way more common than you think.
You fall in love with the house. The location. The layout. The upgrades you’ve always wanted.
But in the excitement of “making it work,” you skip the math.

Here’s how new homeowners end up broke and stressed 6 months after closing 👇

1️⃣ You only budgeted for the mortgage.

The lender said $3,200/month sounded doable...

But you didn’t factor in:

• $900 in property taxes
• $180 HOA
• $400 utilities

Now you’re $1,500 over budget every month.

2️⃣ You drained your savings at closing.
