Marilyn and I were going through new listings and she stopped me on one.

I heard this story and had to share it with you today.

Back In July of 1776, John Adams wrote a letter to his wife Abigail. He told her Americans would celebrate independence for generations to come. With parades. Bells. Fireworks lighting up the sky.

He was right.

Tomorrow when the fireworks go up over the Central Coast, from Pismo Beach to Paso Robles, I’ll be thinking about that. About the freedom to build a life, worship God, and call a place home.

Two hundred fifty years of that freedom is worth celebrating.
