Even with good systems in place, bookkeeping errors can happen. A duplicate transaction, something posted to the wrong account, or a missing transaction can quickly throw off your numbers.

That’s why regular reconciliations and reviews are such an important part of keeping accurate books.

💰 **Money Management Monday**

**Profit in the Bank Doesn't Always Mean Profit in Your Business**

One of the easiest mistakes to make as a business owner is looking at your bank balance and assuming that's how much money your business has available to spend.

Your bank balance doesn't tell the whole story.

Some of that money may already be spoken for:

💵 Payroll coming up
🏛️ Payroll or income taxes
💳 Credit card payments
📄 Outstanding bills
📦 Supplies needed for upcoming jobs
🔄 Recurring monthly expenses
🙋‍♀️ Your own paycheck

That's why a healthy bank balance can quickly disappear when several expenses hit at once.

**Money Management Tip:**

Before making a large purchase or taking an owner draw, look beyond today's bank balance.

Review what's due over the next 30 days and make sure those expenses are covered first.

A business can be profitable on paper and still struggle with cash flow.

Understanding the difference between **profit and available cash** can help you avoid surprises and make better decisions with your money.

Stop Comparing Your Beginning to Someone Else's Middle

Social media has a funny way of making us believe that everyone else's business is growing faster than ours.

We see:

The six-figure months.
The sold-out launches.
The new offices.
The announcements about hiring employees.

What we don't see are the late nights, the mistakes, the lessons learned, and the years it took to get there.

Here's your reminder today...

Someone else's success doesn't diminish yours.
