: On Performance of the 11th Parliament and Outlook for the 12th Parliament. “We have also revealed that the Parliament of Uganda's role goes beyond passing the budget. Whatever takes place in the country, including matters of human rights and governance, it is the duty of Members of Parliament to follow up on what the Executive, the Judiciary UG, and other institutions are doing, and then raise those matters on the floor of Parliament."

: On Political Corruption
"Quite often, I find that we do not properly understand corruption. Careful interrogation of this concept will help society develop meaningful interventions against this vice. Today, I will concentrate on political corruption, which is perhaps the least understood form of corruption. In my opinion, political corruption is the mother of bureaucratic and financial corruption. You cannot effectively tackle corruption unless you first understand the concept of political corruption."

The public has a right to ask: what is the current status of Christopher Okello Onyum after the expiry of the 14-day appeal window?

Ugandans remember the horror visited upon innocent children in Ggaba. The nation mourned. Justice was promised. Transparency now matters.

We join all concerned citizens, parents, child rights defenders, journalists, and members of the public demanding clarity from the relevant authorities on the next legal and custodial steps in this matter.

Justice must not only be done it must be seen to be done.
