I take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who stayed solid during those trying days and nights from the time of the passing on of our beloved Hon Nakimuli. May her soul rest in peace and in power , as we continue to demand a true report about the circumstances. People Power, Our Power!

I joined fellow mourners to send off Edith Mufumbiro, wife to Comrade Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro, our Deputy Spokesperson. He remains imprisoned on trumped-up charges cruelly denied the chance to say goodbye and lay his love to rest. Edith, rest in peace you are loved, and you are not forgotten.

Together with the legal team and fellow party leaders, we appeared before the Chief Magistrate at Kanyanya Court for the bail hearing of Comrade Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro. Bail was denied. A decision that raises a simple but urgent question: what happened to humanity?

Congratulations to Kadondi Gracious, the 92nd elected Guild President of Makerere University.

A new generation is stepping forward — with responsibility, resilience, and vision.

Serve with humility, patience, and strength. Leadership comes with its own challenges.

Warm congratulations, Kadondi.

Yesterday I appeared in court in Gulu in a case where I am accused of “inciting violence.” The matter did not proceed due to the absence of judicial officers, who were attending training. The case remains at the mention stage, and a new date has been set. Thank you to my legal team, supporters, the media, and all who continue to stand with me. I remain strong!

There is a difference between speaking about freedom and creating conditions in which it can exist.

This text on Konrad Hirsch reminds us of that distinction. His work engages with power, but does not seek to dominate it. Instead, it insists on visibility — especially for those whose voices are systematically pushed to the margins.

My thanks to the author Muwanguzi Godwin for this deeply researched and thoughtful piece.

At a time when many institutions hesitate, such clarity matters.

Happy 50th, Konrad aka Akua

German filmmaker, journalist, and cultural activist—honoured at 50 for championing art, expression, and dignity.

I am deeply grateful for the kind and encouraging words from Isaac Ssemakadde, President of the Uganda Law Society. 🙏🏾 In difficult moments, solidarity reminds us that the struggle for justice, dignity and the rule of law is shared by many.

As Scripture reminds us: “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)

Thank you for standing with me. We shall overcome.

Today I received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Uganda Law Society during the commemoration of International Women’s Day.

This recognition is deeply humbling. It reflects the courage and commitment of many people who continue to stand for justice, peace, and the dignity of every Ugandan.

Over the years, it has been a privilege to work alongside lawyers, human rights defenders, community leaders, and citizens who believe that the rule of law must protect everyone.

My sincere gratitude to the Uganda Law Society and its President, Isaac Ssemakadde, for this honour — and to all who continue the shared journey for justice, peace, and democracy.
