Models are the face of the fashion industry, whether they are posing for photographers to create lookbooks, catalogues and social media content or walking in fashion show collections - their impact can make or break a campaign. Alas many fashion models in the Caribbean and Africa have not received technical training to international benchmark standards, particularly freelance models that are not signed to reputable agencies.
We at Coco Velvet International are proud that several of our CVI Professional Fashion Model Workshop graduates have debut at New York, London, Paris and Milan fashionweek for some of the planet's most prestigious brands such as Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs without the need for retraining from their representing agencies in the fashion capitals
Our CVI Fashion Workshops have moulded hundreds of successful modeling careers that have lasted up to 25 years due to the holistic approach of our training modules aimed at developing confidence, high self esteem, personal brand management and social media saavy along with the technical training required for international runway, print and commercial modeling
On November 17th our Creative Director/Runway Coach Christopher Nathan will be in Ocho Rios to start a Runway Techniques Model MasterClass with the cast selected for Jamaica International Fashion Week to ensure that at showtime from Nov 19th to 22nd the designer collections are professionally showcased
