กระทรวงสาธารณะสุขประเทศไทยเตรียมเสนอนโยบายการเข้าประเทศฉบับใหม่
โดยหลังจากที่รัฐบาลจีนได้ประกาศว่าตั้งแต่วันที่ 8 มกราคมเป็นต้นไปจะทำการเปิดพรหมแดนให้คนภายนอกเดินทางเข้าประเทศได้ ทำให้รัฐบาลไทยไม่นิ่งนอนใจเร่งออกวางแผนและออกนโยบายเพื่อรับมือนักท่องเที่ยวที่จะเข้าประเทศมากยิ่งขึ้นโดนเฉพาะนักท่องเที่ยวจีน โดยมาตรการที่เตรียมเสนอเข้าที่ประชุมมีดังนี้

1.นักท่องเที่ยวจะต้องทำการซื้อประกันสุขภาพครอบคลุมการรักษาโควิด-19

2.ก่อนการเดินทางหากพบว่าตนมีอาการทางด้านระบบทางเดินหายใจต้องเลื่อนการเดินทางออกไป ทั้งนี้นโยบายการป้องกันโควิดของประเทศไทยยังคงไว้เช่นเดิมคือสวมใส่หน้ากาก เว้นระยะห่างและฉีดพ่นแอลกอฮอร์ล้างมือเสมอ
