Lakes State Minister accuses Darling Wisdom Academy of poaching top students

Lakes State Education Minister Nelson Makoi has accused Darling Wisdom Secondary School in Juba of illegally recruiting nine top Senior Four students from five schools in the state, aiming to dominate national exam rankings.

However, the director of Darling Wisdom denied the Minister's press statement, insisting the allegations are false.

Minister Nelson Makoi said the school violated Ministry of Education transfer policies by pressuring students already under scholarship to leave mid-programme. Affected schools include Abukloi, Clever Origin, Panekar, Good Hope, and Savanah High School.

Lakes State CID head Lt. Col. Mayom Manuer confirmed that one suspect has been arrested, alleging he acted as a recruiter for Darling Wisdom. The case has been transferred to court.

The Minister called for the return of the students and urged authorities to hold those responsible accountable.

Over 30 cows of Ajang Keer Manyuon— owned by his second Wife Elizabeth Achol Wol raided in the recent conflict between Leer Machar and Noi communities.

Achol Wol, from Lou paher Community is among the people whose cattle have been raided by Leer Machar youths in today's problem.

: Leer Versus Noi Communal conflict re-generates deadly around 4:30 am at Mareng Noi.

Early in the morning, Leer Machar and Noi Communal conflict escalated at Mareng Noi village, Tonj North county.
According to the report, the conflict was regenerated due to continuous revenge killings, cattle raiding and theft practices between the communities.
The unconfirmed number of casualties was reported encountered both sides making it one of the deadly conflicts in the county.

On the same note, Tonj North county commissioner and commander Juma Rean who ran to the scene for de-escalation survived death in the narrow way. This suggests that no authority in the county headquarters will intervene if not taken care by the authority of Warrap state.
