Yesterday, I was invited to the ElevenLabs Singapore launch and got the chance to chat with the Co-founder Mati Staniszewki and the CTO Alex Holt! 🙌

Of course, I went straight to security, privacy and trust 😄 Welcome to Singapore ElevenLabs

A few ElevenLabs cybersecurity features that caught my attention:

Voice protection: Identity verification for professional voice cloning and restrictions on high-risk voices.

Misuse detection: AI-generated audio detection, monitoring and content provenance.

Data privacy: Optional zero data retention and Singapore data residency for enterprise customers.

It was also great to hear Tan Kiat How, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, speak about how language connects people. This is especially interesting in Southeast Asia, where we have hundreds of languages and dialects, different accents and so much cultural nuance.

Amazon’s AI was rejecting women in hiring. They caught it because they had proper governance.

Most companies don’t check their AI systems and that’s the problem.

Biased algorithms scale discrimination automatically.

Without oversight, AI fails become organizational risks.

This is AI governance 101. Part of building secure, responsible AI systems.

The cyber helpline 1930 was built to protect every Indian online. But for the Deaf community - it’s completely inaccessible. 🚫

No sign language support. No text-based option. Just a phone number they can’t use.

Cybercrime doesn’t skip the Deaf community. So why does the helpline?

It’s time we demand an inclusive 1930 - one that works for EVERY citizen, regardless of ability.
