🇷🇺👅❎ No Russian Language to Work in Russia Anymore

✍ You don't need to know Russian to work in Russia anymore. A law has been adopted exempting foreigners coming to Russia to work under a government quota from taking the Russian language, history and law exam.

📑 Let me remind you that such quotas are issued for work to foreigners from visa countries, e. g., China, India, Turkmenistan and Turkey. This year, twice as many work quotas were issued as last year.

❌ But there is an EXCEPTION to the above-mentioned law; namely, those whose work is related to communication with people will have to do the exam in Russian, history and law. E. g., these are drivers, salespeople or health workers.

You may LOSE Russian CITIZENSHIP for this! 🇷🇺❌

The government has approved a law to expand the list of grounds on which former foreign nationals who naturalized can be deprived of Russian citizenship. The list includes 20 new grounds:

➡ Crimes with aggravating circumstances:
🚩 sexual assault on children
🚩 organizing prostitution
🚩 r**e

➡ Not necessarily with aggravating circumstances:
🚩 murder
🚩 organizing illegal immigration

➡ Crimes with extremist motives or for the purpose of justifying terrorism/sabotage:
⚠ Hacking government servers
⚠ Public calls for terrorism, its justification or propaganda
⚠ Assistance to an enemy of the state
⚠ Displaying N**i symbols, etc.

As was mentioned, this does not apply to those who are Russian citizens from birth.

Migrants CAN'T BE TAXI DRIVERS anymore in St. Petersburg? 🚕🇷🇺

🚫 Foreigners are banned from holding certain positions or working in certain fields in a few regions of Russia, either for those working under a patent or for all foreigners.

🚗 A couple of days ago, it was officially announced that immigrants working under patents would be banned from driving taxis in Saint Petersburg until the end of 2025. The novelty comes into force on August 7. Transportation companies are given 3 months to fire foreigners with a patent. This experiment might be continued in the future.

📄 Let me remind you that a work patent allows a visa-free foreign national, in particular, from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Georgia and Moldova; i. e., not from the EAEU, but from visa-free countries, to work in Russia without residency.

All INFO about FOREIGNERS in Russia will be COLLECTED 🇷🇺🔎

Putin signed a decree to create an information resource «Foreign National's Digital Profile» by the end of June 2026.

Such a profile will contain a lot of data:
🫆 Biometrics (face and fingerprints)
📚 Work permits, registrations, and permitted periods of stay
🏡 Place of residence and work
💸 Money transfers abroad
🕵🏼 Criminal records and offenses
💰 Tax data
🇷🇺 Proficiency in Russian
🚘 Owned cars and property
📱 SIM cards
🌍 Geolocations, etc.

The resource is going to operate on the basis of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

All this information will be available to the immigrant, and he/she will also be able to make changes to it through the state services website. A foreigner will be able, if necessary, to download data from there to provide to government agencies or, e. g., to an employer.

BAN from searching for INFO on the NET? 🇷🇺❌️

In Russia, they'll start fining for searching on the Net for extremist materials and advertising VPNs. It'll come into force in September 2025. Until now, Russian law didn't prohibit searching for any information on the Internet; only the creation or distribution of prohibited content was punishable.

⚖️ According to the law, now if a person deliberately searches for something from the federal list of extremist materials on the Net including using VPN, he or she risks receiving a fine of up to ₽5000.

🔥 This news caused a great stir.

Some experts note the list contains as many as ≈ 5500 publications. Moreover, their descriptions are rather vague - it's not always possible to understand what exactly is prohibited. The authors of the bill emphasize that to recognize the search for such material as an offense, INTENT is required. Some believe it's not entirely clear how intent will be proven.

Another aspect that remains unsolved is that no professional exemptions are provided for, e. g., journalists, lawyers and scientists who need such access for their work.

😮💨 But officials say that simply scrolling through Instagram/Facebook won't result in punishment, unless you're specifically looking for, e. g., biographies of terrorists.

10 Inventions You Didn't Know Were Russian 🇷🇺🔎👀

What inventions do you know made by Russians or in Russia? If you find it difficult to answer this question, this video is for you. Spoiler: there are quite a lot of them, including some that are very significant for the world community!

🛰️ SATELLITE

The launch of Sputnik 1 by the Soviet Union on 1957 marked the beginning of the space age and the start of the space race. Sputnik 1 was the first artificial satellite to orbit Earth.

Developed under the leadership of great scientist Sergei Korolev, it was launched aboard an R-7 rocket. Though it operated for only a few weeks, its impact was massive, shocking the West and prompting the United States to accelerate its own space program.

🧪⚛ PERIODIC TABLE

The periodic table was invented by a leading Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869. He organized the known chemical elements into a table based on their atomic mass and chemical properties. The scientist noticed that elements with similar properties appeared at regular intervals, or periods. In Russian this table is still known as «table of Mendeleev».

What made this invention remarkable was that he left gaps for elements that hadn't been discovered yet - and correctly predicted their properties.

By the way, Mendeleev is also credited with inventing vodka in the form we know it today. But despite his research into the interaction of water and alcohol, this is a myth.

🚁 HELICOPTER

An engineer Igor Sikorsky designed the first successful modern helicopter. In 1939, he built and flew the VS 300, a single-rotor helicopter with a tail rotor to counterbalance the torque - a design still used today. Sikorsky's helicopter could take off and land vertically, hover, and fly in all directions, making it far more versatile than airplanes.

🪂 KNAPSACK PARACHUTE AND DROGUE PARACHUTE

Early in the 20th century, professor Gleb Kotelnikov witnessed the death of a Russian pilot Lev Matsivich which shocked him so much that he got obsessed with the idea of creating a special rescue system for safe landing, and did it in 1911. A year later, Kotelnikov accelerated the car to a breakneck speed, and then open a parachute attached to the back seat of the automobile, which caused the car to slow down. That was the first test of a drogue parachute. Now, such constructions are used in aviation.

🍸🍾 VODKA

Yes, you were waiting for this! Although the Poles and Russians have long been hotly debating which of them invented this alcoholic drink, there is no doubt that vodka as we know it today was certainly shaped and popularized in Russia, especially during the imperial and Soviet eras.

In our country, vodka has been produced since at least the late 15th century, with one of the earliest known references to it dating to around 1430.

🕹️🧩 TETRIS

This classic game was invented in 1984 by Russian programmer Alexey Pajitnov while he was working at the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Moscow. Inspired by a traditional puzzle game involving fitting shapes together, Pajitnov created a game where players rotate and arrange falling blocks to complete lines. Tetris quickly became a worldwide sensation.

🏀 SYNTHETIC RUBBER
Rubber is used in wheels of cars, bicycles and planes, etc. This is an irreplaceable thing in our everyday life. At the beginning of the 20th century, Russian chemist Sergei Lebedev successfully developed the first synthetic rubber.

📻 RADIO

Alexander Popov, a Russian physicist, demonstrated a wireless communication device in 1895, around the same time as Guglielmo Marconi in Italy. On May 7, Popov presented his wireless receiver, which could detect electromagnetic waves, and by 1896, he transmitted a message using Morse code. That is, radio was invented in two places at the same time independently, but Marconi was the first to receive a patent for it.

🥚💎✨ FABERGÉ EGGS

These masterpiece jewelries were originally made by the House of Fabergé, a jewelry firm founded by Peter Carl Fabergé in Russia. The eggs were crafted from the end of the 19th century till the Revolution in Saint Petersburg, mainly as luxurious Easter gifts for the Russian Imperial family.

Today, the original House of Fabergé no longer exists, but its brand has been revived and is owned by various companies that produce exquisite jewelry and collectibles inspired by the original eggs.

👨🔬 LOMONOSOV'S CONTRIBUTION

We would like to mention separately not an invention, but an inventor and, first of all, discoverer - Mikhail Lomonosov (1711-1765). This undoubtedly brilliant polymath, who stands on par with such luminaries of science as Nicolaus Copernicus, Gottfried Leibniz and Isaac Newton, influenced global knowledge in chemistry, physics, and beyond. His key contributions are:

💡 Lomonosov discovered the law of conservation of mass in chemical reactions, stating that mass is neither created nor destroyed;
💡 he also found out Venus has an atmosphere.
💡 He theorized about continental drift, Arctic exploration, and the formation of icebergs and sea ice.
💡 He proposed that heat is a form of motion of particles, anticipating later developments in kinetic theory.

The scientist's achievements are not limited to this - he was known as an optician (improved the telescope), a reformer of the Russian language, a poet, and so on. In Russia he is considered one of the iconic figures.

Of course, what we covered in this article is not everything that was invented in Russia or by Russians, but these are the most significant things.

How to DEAL with Russians? Cultural DIFFERENCES 🇷🇺👥🤝

You yourself have probably noticed that what may cause surprise or irritation in one nation may be perceived by another nation quite calmly. Or that one nation may pay too much attention to an aspect of life that another nation practically doesn't care about. Here we will talk about Russians in particular - how to interact with them, how to understand their mentality, and compare them with other countries and ethnic groups. We took as a basis the main theories of intercultural communication.

👀➡ HOFSTEDE'S CULTURAL DIMENSIONS THEORY

Famous sociologist Geert Hofstede identified several key dimensions of culture:
✏ POWER DISTANCE INDEX
✏ INDIVIDUALISM VS. COLLECTIVISM
✏ MASCULINITY VS. FEMININITY
✏ UNCERTAINTY AVOIDANCE INDEX
✏ LONG-TERM VS. SHORT-TERM ORIENTATION

Russia has traditionally been characterized by a high power distance, which manifests itself in respect for authority and hierarchy. Unlike Western countries such as the United States or Scandinavian countries, which value equality and democratic interaction, Russians maintain a strong respect for status and power.

In terms of collectivism, Russia is slightly closer to Eastern European and Asian countries than to individualistic Western countries. This is reflected in the importance of family ties, community values, and collective decisions, including due to the influence of the USSR ideology. Collectivism was especially pronounced in the past, but now there is a tendency towards individualization of society.

Uncertainty avoidance means the degree of perception of unfamiliar situations. Countries with a high value of this indicator try to avoid them, establish clear rules, trust in traditions, and don't always tolerate people with a different life position. And countries with a low value show personal initiative and risk. Russians are uncertainty avoidant, as are people in the United States, Eastern and Central Europe, Latin America, Japan and German-speaking countries.

Masculinity vs. Femininity. Masculinity means that in society, persistence, self-confidence and ambitions are valued. It's typical of the USA, Great Britain, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Germany and Italy. In feminine cultures, modesty and caring are valued. Such traits characterize the Scandinavian countries, Japan, Holland and France. Russia also belongs to the second group.

The last scale is called «Short and Long-Term Orientation». Cultures with low scores on this scale, such as Japan, South Korea or Israel, tend to maintain centuries-old traditions and norms and treat any changes with great caution, as well as encourage frugality and plan for the future decades ahead. Meanwhile, people in the USA, Canada, Australia, and, of course, Russia believe that truth depends on the situation, so long-term planning isn't very useful. They more easily adapt traditions to changing conditions and don't try to find a universal truth, but at the same time are less inclined to accumulate resources.

WHAT if I am being STALKED in Russia? 🙈🏃🇷🇺

Today I would like to talk about such an unexpected topic as stalking in Russia. Stalking is a repeated obsessive persecution of another person. An ex-partner or a persistent admirer can wait at the entrance, bombard with letters, send gifts, spread false rumors about the victim, break into the apartment or even threaten to kill. How to resist this?

Although both genders face this problem, women are more often the victims of stalking. Despite this fact, the following information applies, of course, to both men and women.

⚖️ In Russian law there is no separate concept of «stalking» and, consequently, no punishment for it, unlike the USA, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, etc. Russian legislators have attempted to criminalize stalking several times, most recently in 2024, but each time the bills failed to become law - either the interpretation was too broad, or it was unclear how to implement the law, in general, this question still remains open. But this doesn't mean that the stalker will definitely go unpunished.

👮 PUNISHMENTS

👮 Installing trackers on a car, video cameras near an apartment or in an apartment, and other methods of collecting information fall under Article 137 of the Criminal Code (CC) of the Russian Federation «Violation of Privacy». Punishments include fines, community service, and even prison time, as well as a ban on holding certain positions.

👮 The same article applies in the case of hacking a personal page on social networks, as well as Art. 272 of the CC «Illegal use and/or transfer, collection and/or storage of computer information containing personal data». It depends on what the stalker did with the page and the information on it.

👮 Special attention should be paid to situations where a crazy fan hacks the victim's page and takes intimate photos and videos from there to distribute on the Internet, as well as where an ex-partner threatens to distribute such photos to friends on social networks. Such a blackmailer should remember that the circulation of pornographic materials is punishable by a fine, community service or imprisonment under the CC, Art. 242. By the way, all the articles that were mentioned imply a more severe punishment if the offense is committed against a minor.

👮 A stalker can take information not only from personal correspondence, but also buy it from some open illegal resources, or buy it from organizations where the stalked person worked, was treated, etc. E. g., he told a fact that you were hiding from everyone. In this case, both the pursuer and the person who sold the personal data are fined in accordance with Art. 13.11 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CoAO). However, it is usually impossible to find out where the obsessive admirer got the information from.

👮 Stalkers often spread various rumors about their victim to annoy her. There is also criminal liability for defamation - this is Art. 128.1 of the CC. But the person being persecuted should prove that defamation took place - e. g., by recording the slanderer's posts through a notary. Defamation is rarely punishable by imprisonment - usually the offender simply receives a fine.

👮 There are sometimes situations where the persecutor enters the home of his object of passion, then he can be held criminally liable under Art. 139 - «Violation of the inviolability of the home». The burglar faces a fine, community service, or, less commonly, arrest.

👮 If the harasser has damaged any of his victim's property, she can force him to compensate for the damage, (Art. 7.17 of the CoAO) as well as pay a fine and even bring him to criminal liability (Art. 167 of the CC), but the latter only happens if the damage was very large.

👮 And, of course, what those persecuted are most often afraid of is threats of physical violence, not only to the victim herself, but also to her family members and friends. This is punishable by Art. 119 of the CC, and it does not even imply a fine - it will be either community service, or arrest, or imprisonment, and this article implies longer terms.

👀 From my experience, law enforcement agencies do not always take such statements seriously, but nevertheless, it is worth trying to collect evidence and contact the police (or the court), because as soon as a stalker realizes that the police are interested in him or he is threatened with appearing before a judge, as a rule, he cools his ardor. Even if sanctions do not actually follow.

👀 Of course, it is understandable why people are afraid of this - firstly, it puts pressure on the psyche, secondly, it is impossible to predict what is in the head of an obsessed fan - now he is bombarding his beloved with messages from numerous accounts and waiting under the window, and tomorrow he can do something worse. But what should be done in such cases?

❌ WHAT SHOULDN'T YOU DO?

Don't feel guilty for being stalked - it is never the victim's fault, and may happen to everyone. And try to take the stalker's words with a cool head. E. g., if he threatens to commit su***de, it is just unhealthy manipulation. As a rule, such people do not actually want to do so, but to make their prey feel ashamed. Or, e. g., ex-partners threaten to leak confidential photos - they don't always end up doing this, as they are afraid of being judged by mutual friends for treating their ex this way. Plus, they often try first of all not to make their object of passion feel bad, but to make them enter into a relationship with them, and when they realize the beloved is not falling for blackmail, they retreat. Although there is no arguing that cases vary and stalkers have different levels of sanity.

❌ Don't attack the stalker unless there is a direct threat to your health - on the contrary, you need to make the police think that he is crazy, and you are an unfortunate victim. Even though this is done out of fear, for beating you can face the same punishment as if the stalker beat you.

❌ If you have to personally contact your stalker, do not use vague formulations like «maybe» or «later», say a direct «no» to him. Sometimes such people can perceive it as a desire to continue the game. But don't show him that you are scared or angry - this might even more provoke him. If you fail to avoid emotions, it's worth asking a mediator to negotiate, e. g., a family member.

✅ WHAT CAN AND SHOULD YOU DO:

✅ Protect your online data - set up two-factor authentication, change and strengthen your passwords, and delete sensitive information, if any.

✅ Next, as was said, collect evidence. The case may well be opened if there is documented confirmation and witness testimony. However, if there are no illegal actions in the actions of the pursuer, e. g., he is just constantly sending flowers and firing messages at you, they will simply refuse to accept your report.

✅ It is a good idea to warn your friends and relatives about the stalker so that they do not fall for his provocations and gossip, and do not give him any information. On your social media page, you can make the situation public, but without unnecessary emotions, so that people who have been added to your friends block the abuser when trying to contact them.

✅ I would recommend asking the abuser a question, but not in a personal conversation, but via messenger or over the phone (to document the dialogue), what is he going to do if you ignore him? What will his actions be? Get him to give a direct answer - if he starts threatening you, this will only play into your hands, since you can complain to law enforcement agencies. Ask to bring the perpetrator to justice and state that you perceive the threats as real. Do this even if you don't know his personal details - it is the police's responsibility to find the offender.

But if in response to your question the intrusive fan declares he will take his own life, he has simply run out of arguments, you can easily put him on the blacklist.

By the way, if the police do nothing, it is also worth filing a complaint with the prosecutor's office about their inaction.

✅ What to do if the stalker is waiting for you at the door? You could call the police, but if you call them saying «there's a man standing here, he's scaring me», the policemen won't arrive soon - if they have a choice between an emergency and an imaginary danger, it’s clear what they will choose. So, you can enter into an agreement with the non-departmental security of the Russian Guard (Rosgvardiya) to install a so-called panic button. It costs not much, no more than 300 rubles monthly. In fact, all you need to do is call the security console number from your cell phone. No one will answer the call to find out the details. The service is commercial, so the employees will simply arrive and sort out what happened on the spot. The armed people in the uniform will ask who is standing at your door and why. If it is your neighbor, he will go home with no problem. And if the person cannot explain what he is doing here, he will be escorted to the exit or taken to the department to establish his identity.

✅ In some cases, it is possible to recognize a person as mentally unstable and send them involuntarily for psychiatric treatment, but this is difficult and is only possible if the person demonstrates obvious aggression towards others and/or themselves, but this should also ideally be documented. Sure thing that if he is threatening to attack you right now, you can call a psychiatric crew, but of course, no one would want the situation to come to that. Note that (from my personal experience) private ambulance crews respond to such calls more quickly and willingly than governmental ones.

✅ You can instead protect yourself by separating yourself from possible stalking by avoiding deserted places, deleting Internet pages, asking a relative to accompany you to and from home, or temporarily living somewhere else. But it is unlikely that this will stop the pursuer - you can only wait until he loses interest in you, which is basically also a tactic, but may take longer. A couple of scoldings from men in uniform usually make an obsessed admirer cool off towards his passion quicker and more effectively. In addition, the stalker may be inspired by the fact he scared you if he had such a goal. But if you think he may be dangerous, do it. And if you failed to persuade law enforcement officers to influence him, yes, that is also an option.

✅ If the persecution continues despite the fact that much time has passed, (which rarely happens because such people get bored with their «toy» after a while), despite the fact that you have tried to influence the stalker through the court, the police or psychiatrists, and if leaving the country for your homeland is not the right option for you, then it makes sense to contact special organizations that help victims resort to extreme measures such as taking a shelter or changing the city of residence.

Hope you have not encountered and will not encounter this problem, and if this did happen, feel free to contact our team.

🌏🇷🇺 Putin's celeblity friends - world's CELEBS who got Russian CITIZENSHIP

Several foreign celebrities have been granted Russian citizenship in recent years, often by presidential decree. Who were those people and why did they do it?

👉 GERARD DEPARDIEU

Perhaps the most famous example of a Western celebrity who has become a Russian citizen. The French actor received a Russian passport personally from Putin in 2013, but retained the citizenship of his native country too. The actor decided to take this step because of the tax reform in France, which increased the wealth tax rate to 75% (the tax was later repealed). However, taxes are not the only reason why Gerard Depardieu became a Russian citizen - he has long been interested in Russian culture and even starred in several domestic films. Since 2022, after the conflict between Russia and Ukraine began, the actor has been calling for peace. He now lives more often in Belgium, but is registered in Novosibirsk.

👉 STEVEN SEAGAL

Also a pretty well-known story - the American action star managed not only to be granted Russian citizenship, but also to succeed in the political sphere. Steven became a citizen of our country back in 2016, after which he managed to change several political parties. According to the President's press secretary, Steven Seagal «persistently and for quite a long time» asked for naturalization. By the way, the Hollywood actor has Russian roots - his grandparents were from the Russian Empire.

👉 EDWARD SNOWDEN

Snowden is a former National Security Agency intelligence contractor and is known for leaking classified documents in 2013 that revealed the extent of the US government's mass surveillance programs. He fled his homeland to evade possible legal consequences for this, and now is our compatriot. There are currently no extraditions between Washington and Moscow.

👉 CARY-HIROYUKI TAGAWA

The star of the Mortal Kombat franchise, the American-Japanese actor not only became a citizen of the Russian Federation, but also converted to Russian Orthodoxy. Tagawa said he was impressed with the Russian soul's depth.

👉 ROY JONES JR.

The US boxer became a Russian citizen in 2015. Earlier that year, he met with the Russian President in Crimea, where he said: «I love Russian society as much as it loves me. » Vladimir Putin, in turn, supported the athlete's idea. Roy Jones decided not to renounce his US citizenship, and in an interview, he admitted that he lives in and for two countries. In Moscow, he opened the Roy Jones Boxing School.

👉 NATALIA OREIRO

Famous Uruguayan actress and singer Natalia Oreiro obtained a Russian passport together with her son in 2021 at the embassy in the city of Buenos Aires, where she lives. According to the actress, she has many connections with Russia; and in our country, she is loved and known primarily for her leading role in the TV series «Wild Angel». However, she didn't plan to move to Russia and lives permanently in Argentina. Oreiro also has Spanish citizenship.

👉 JEFF MONSON

Monson is an American-born mixed martial artist and boxer. He became a Russian citizen in 2018, and in four years, renounced his US citizenship.
Soon after naturalization, the boxer was elected as a deputy of the City Duma of one of the towns in the Moscow region. Monson recently married a Russian woman and had a child with her. Now he hosts his own program on TV. «I am Russian in spirit, » the athlete declares.

👉 AHN HYUN-SOO

Korean short track skater Ahn Hyun-soo received Russian citizenship in 2011, after a conflict with the South Korean Skating Federation. He changed his name to one more understandable to his new compatriots, Victor Ahn. The skater brought the Russian national team three gold and one bronze medal at the Olympic Games in the city of Sochi.

👉 There are many other people who have also officially linked themselves with Russia: Brazilian footballer Mario Fernandes, Greek conductor Teodor Currentzis, Serbian actor Miloš Biković, Italian conductor and pianist Fabio Mastrangelo, etc.

Hope you'll get Russian citizenship too if you set yourself this goal.

You pay off your company's debts personally! 💰🇷🇺 Subsidiary liability in Russia

In Russian law there is such a concept as «subsidiary liability», simply put, this is when the director, or another person controlling the company, has to pay the company's debts. In some countries, such a concept does not exist.

WHAT IS IT?

It is the right to collect the debts of a legal entity from other related persons if the legal entity cannot pay them off on its own. Let's say a business is declared bankrupt. The bankruptcy trustee starts selling off property to repay all its debts. The proceeds from the sale of the property may be not enough to satisfy the obligation; then the remaining money will be written off from other persons related to this legal entity.

WHO CAN BE HELD LIABLE?

Not everyone can find themselves in this situation, but only those who had a direct influence on the company's financial decisions. For example, founders, directors, chief accountants and even top managers may be held vicariously liable for debt repayment if their actions led to the firm's insolvency.

However, if you left the company more than 3 years ago, this responsibility cannot be placed on you.

HOW IS GUILT PROVEN?

Involvement in bankruptcy is proven by means of concluded contracts and completed (not completed) work/services, by the fact of transfers of funds for work or services, by minutes of meetings, etc.

The judge should be convinced that the managers intentionally took some actions to lead their business to bankruptcy, while unintentional errors in management or accounting may be forgiven.

Subsidiary liability is assigned, e. g., when:

⚠ fictitious transactions were carried out, or contracts were made with fly-by-night companies,
⚠ the transactions made resulted in losses, e. g., a store purchased products for 2 million rubles and sold for just 1 million - here the economic feasibility and transparency of the transaction are in doubt;
⚠ No supporting documents;
⚠ transactions requiring approval by the board of directors or founders were made by the one person alone;
⚠ the insolvency of the enterprise was obvious, but the bankruptcy was not declared in a timely manner - the management is obliged to declare bankruptcy to the commercial court no later than 30 days from the time when the business became insolvent.
⚠ the management forged documents, failed to report to the Federal Tax Service, concealed assets, or evaded taxes.
But proving that mistakes were made due to inexperience or external economic problems, rather than malicious intent, can sometimes be difficult.

Also, remember that there is a presumption of guilt in this case - unless the director or other responsible person actively proves that they did everything possible to keep the company solvent, they will most likely be found liable.

WHO ELSE MAY BE HELD LIABLE?

Former managers, relatives, or friends - all those who could influence decision-making and benefit from this - can be found guilty of the firm's bankruptcy. This can happen if it is confirmed that real estate, transport and other valuables were purchased for private use with business money. E. g., the manager's relatives do not have large incomes, but suddenly after withdrawing money from the company's accounts, they purchase houses, cars, shares, and bonds.

By the way, affiliated companies, i. e., companies that could influence the decisions of the debtor business, can also be held financially liable to creditors. E. g., if these companies have the same owner.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE DEBTORS DO NOT HAVE MONEY?

If the person who controlled the company has no property, creditors may demand subsidiary liability in the future when income appears. E. g., if the debtor receives dividends on shares, this money can be taken.

In addition, there may be a ban on travel abroad, as well as the arrest of the accounts of not only the debtor themself, but also their family members.

The property (apartments, houses, cars, jewelry and large household appliances) of the debtor brought to justice will also be sold, except for the only housing and essential items.

HOW TO AVOID LIABILITY?

In addition to the things that were listed, the following can lead to subsidiary liability of controlling persons:

⚠ Giving loans from a legal entity to yourself or affiliated persons;
⚠ Withdrawing the company's assets before bankruptcy;
⚠ Spending corporate money on your own needs;
⚠ Concealing property and money from a trustee during bankruptcy.
