HEERA (highly enthusiastic and educative for rights awareness) CONSISTS ON LAWYERS AND IS WORKING FOR THE LEGAL ASSISTANCE OF DISABLED PERSONS AND IS COLLECTING DATA OF LAWYERS WITH DISABILITIES ALL OVER THE PAKISTAN. 47 NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL DISABLED PERSONS ORGANIZATIONS HAVE BEEN AFFILIATED WITH HEERA AS IT IS THE ONLY ORGANIZATION IN PAKISTAN WHO IS PURELY WORKING

FOR THE LEGAL RIGHTS OF DISABLED PERSONS AND IS TRYING TO ASSIST GOVT FOR NEW LAWS AND IMPLEMENT THE EXISTING LAWS OF DISABILITIES IN PAKISTAN. HEERA WORKS FOR THE LEGAL RIGHTS OF DISABLED PERSONS INCLUDING COUNSELING AND ADVOCACY. THE MAJOR WORK IS THE EFFORTS THAT MADE BY HEERA TO ENFORCE THE EXISTING LAWS REGARDING DISABILITIES THROUH COURTS AND LAW ENFORCEMET AGENCIES. NOW HEERA IS WORKING ON PROPOSED PAKISTAN PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ACT.

The minister emphasized that international best practices in disability welfare and accessibility would be adopted in Punjab, reaffirming the government’s commitment to ensuring the dignified participation of persons with disabilities in both public and private sectors.
The meeting was attended by Director General Social Welfare Tariq Qureshi, President of Milestone Organization Shafiq ur Rehman, senior officials, and Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Provincial Council Consultant Tahir Pervaiz , who shared legal insights on disability rights and empowerment.

The Japanese delegation was given a comprehensive briefing on key initiatives of the Punjab government, including the Chief Minister’s Himmat Card, the Assistive Devices Program, and the CM Special Games. Director General Social Welfare Tariq Qureshi, Milestone President Shafiq ur Rehman, CRPD Council Consultant Tahir Pervaiz , and other officials also participated in the session. The Provincial Minister expressed the government's commitment to establishing an Independent Living Center in Punjab, launching specialized training programs, and introducing world-class facilities to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities across the province.
