Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled declaring that all dowry and gold jewellery given to a bride legally remain her exclusive and personal property. The apex court ruled that husbands or in-laws have no ownership rights over these items, even after a divorce, and withholding them is considered unlawful deprivation of property.

A Legal Notice is a mandatory pre-requisite before approaching a Consumer Court in Pakistan by giving details of defect, fault, or deficiency in product or service.

If the issue is not resolved, you can file a complaint/claim before the Consumer Court within 30 days of the cause of action (or after the 15-day notice expires).
