Know Your Right of Employment Financial Benefits

In the event of the sad demise of an employee, the financial benefits accrued and payable during the lifetime of the deceased employee shall be distributed among the legal heirs in accordance with the applicable inheritance laws, whereas any such benefits payable after the employee’s death shall be disbursed to the eligible nominee or persons in accordance with the employer’s Financial Benefits Rules in Pakistan.

The Division Bench at High Court of Sindh, has declared Property Tax collected by the Cantonment Boards in Province of Sindh as Unconstitutional and contrary to Fifth Schedule Entry No. 50 (Federal Legislative List) of The Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

It is therefore Property Tax levied by the Cantonment Boards in Sindh after the 18th Constitutional amendment call for an account.

N.B. the matter is now pending in Appeal before the Honourable Supreme Court where the Cantonment Boards in the Province of Sindh are directed to charge Urban Immovable Property Tax at the rates prescribed under the Sindh Immovable Property Tax Act 1958, till the next date of hearing.
