Honorable members of the IHCBA,
To better serve our legal community, we are currently in the process of shifting the High Court Bar Library. Consequently, the library will be unavailable from tomorrow, Feb 2nd, until Feb 10th.

Following the incident on January 23, 2026, a high-level meeting was held between the Cabinets of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA), Islamabad Bar Association (IBA), and members of the Islamabad Bar Council (IBC) with DIG Police Atiq Tahir DIG Jawad
During the meeting:
Official Apology: DIG Atiq Tahir and DIG Jawad extended a formal apology to the President and Secretary of IHCBA regarding the recent incident.
Accountability: An assurance was given that strict legal action will be initiated against the police personnel involved.
Reconciliation: In a spirit of professional cooperation, the Bar representatives accepted the apology.
We are pleased to announce that the strike has been called off. Legal proceedings and court operations will resume as usual starting tomorrow. We remain committed to upholding the prestige of the legal fraternity.⁹
