Difference between Apeal and Revision

1.Apeal is a right given by law while revision is duty imposed by law on some courts.
2.More than one appeals are possible on same issue but revision is possible just once.
3.Apeal could involve question of law and facts while revision involves Question of Law only.
4.Apeal is possible from the final judgement of court while revision lies against day to day proceedings.
4.Apeal is subject to limitation while revision lies at discretion of court.
5.Revision is matter between courts while appeal is matter between parties.
6.Apeal can't be dismissed without hearing parties while this is not necessary in case of revision.
7.where there is appeal there is no revision and in case of revision there is no appeal.
8.Punishment can be increased by court of revision but not by court of apeal..
9. Court of appeal can convert aquittal into conviction but this can't be done by the court of revision.
