It’s incredible what AI can achieve. With just a few clicks, you can transform yourself into a Hollywood star overnight, as seen in this AI-generated movie poster. But it raises some important questions. For instance, what if a video captured a crime scene where a killer was seen committing the murder? Could AI be used to swap someone's face onto the perpetrator in the footage? It’s astonishing how technology can turn fantasies into reality.
However, this also raises serious concerns. The same advancements that enable such transformations can be used to manipulate the truth. When AI-generated or altered evidence is presented in court, how can we be sure it’s genuine and not tampered with? Our current methods for verifying evidence are outdated and aren’t keeping pace with the rapid evolution of technology. This makes it increasingly difficult to distinguish real from fabricated.
In this photo, I used AI to edit my image, changing my hair color, eye color, and complexion, to resemble Marilyn Monroe. The transformation was seamless. As AI continues to improve, reaching near perfection, we may find ourselves asking: is there anything AI can’t do? The possibilities are both exciting and unsettling, reminding us to stay vigilant about the ethical and legal implications of this powerful technology.
