Glad we were able to squeeze in a date with Atty. Virgil Ligutan in Tacloban City before his flight. A fellow UP Law alum and a Leyte native, Atty. Ligutan has been delivering talks on public accountability at Eastern Visayas law schools. It was great to exchange ideas on legal education and the legal profession.

I have already imposed a no-gadgets rule in my law class at Leyte Colleges - College of Law last semester. It was borne out of my frustration with students instinctively reaching for their phones or laptops during recitation. As I explained to them, recitations are meant to help them develop critical thinking skills. Using AI or the internet, in general, during such exercise defeats the whole purpose.

After a grueling battery of tests conducted over half a year, I am happy and relieved to be part of the very few who passed this year's FSOE.

However, there will be no immediate changes in my professional commitments. Our clients at AAA Law - Aquino and Anuncio-Aquino Law Offices and the students of Leyte Colleges - College of Law can rest assured that they remain as my top priorities.
