For the public's guidance, here are the current rates for legal services in Cebu.

This fee schedule was adopted several years ago and remains the prevailing guide in Cebu, although it may no longer fully reflect today's economic realities and the rising costs of legal practice.

Please note that these are minimum rates only. A lawyer's professional fees may be higher depending on the nature, scope, complexity, and responsibility involved in the engagement.

Several employees were abruptly placed on floating status without valid grounds and without timely notice.

Their complaint was initially dismissed before the Labor Arbiter. On appeal, the NLRC found that the employees had been illegally dismissed. The prolonged uncertainty, coupled with the absence of due process, effectively left the employees without real work or security.
