โ๏ธ From Disagreement to Agreement: Another Labor Dispute Amicably Settled! ๐ค
What began with a question of whether an employee who resigned was entitled to separation pay ended with both parties finding common ground.
An Accounting Clerk raised a claim for constructive dismissal, alleging that she was compelled to resign after enduring repeated insults concerning her personal appearance. After a thorough discussion of the circumstances and the possible determination of her entitlement by the Executive Labor Arbiter, both parties chose to settle.
Through the joint efforts of the LAA Michael S.M. Yee and SEADO Jose Ven Camelle C. Ello, and with both partiesโ willingness to find common ground, the dispute was amicably settled with an agreement for the payment of โฑ18,966.00, representing 50% of the demanded separation pay.
