Used cooking oil isn't waste—it's fuel.
Today, we drafted the proposed Biodiesel Ordinance for Cebu City which mandates and regulates the proper collection and recycling of used cooking oil from food establishments.
We are trying to combat Cebu city's perennial problem of overpopulation and urbanization by hitting two birds with one stone. By regulating the disposal of used oil, we not only declogging our waterways of solidified oil, but also incentivize the ordinary person to save used oil and convert it into a source of usable fuel.
Like every cebuano, we fight for those who have less in life, to have more in law.
As always, with hope and high regard,

Thank you to Atty. Gerard Joe Binghay Carillo and former Cebu City Councilor Atty. Gerardo Carillo for providing me a copy of their proposed Biodiesel Ordinance today.
This draft measure establishes a regulatory framework for the proper collection, recycling, and disposal of used cooking oil and grease trap waste from local food establishments.
By addressing improper waste disposal, this initiative will play a crucial role in preventing clogged drainage, mitigating floods, and protecting our environment.
I deeply appreciate their proactive proposal and the positive, sustainable impact this can bring to Cebu City. 🫰🏼❤️
