Balatong Cortez Law Offices successfully conducted its first Free Legal Consultation on April 11, 2026, at their office, led by Atty. Angelica Balatong and Atty. Niño Cortez. Open to the public, the initiative provided individuals with accessible legal guidance on a range of concerns, including family, property, and employment matters.

Participants were given the opportunity to speak directly with lawyers at no cost, helping them gain a clearer understanding of their rights and the legal options available to them. Atty. Niño Cortez and Atty. Angelica Balatong of Balatong Cortez Law Offices joined the IBP Bulacan Chapter and IBP Central Luzon lawyers in the recently concluded Center for Human Rights Education Summit held on April 10, 2026, at BulSU Hostel.

Hosted by the Commission on Human Rights in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and the Commission on Higher Education, the summit gathered representatives from various sectors, with strong participation from academic institutions across the region.

The event served as a platform to strengthen collaboration among legal professionals, educators, and advocates in advancing human rights education. Central to the summit’s agenda was the establishment of a network or hub that would facilitate coordinated efforts, resource-sharing, and sustained engagement in promoting and protecting human rights.

Through panel discussions and stakeholder exchanges, participants underscored the importance of integrating human rights principles into educational frameworks and community initiatives. The summit concluded with a shared commitment among attendees to build a more cohesive and proactive regional network dedicated to human rights awareness and advocacy.

Mayroon. Kung ang iyong ex o kahit ang iyong kasalukuyang karelasyon ay kinuhanan ng video ang inyong pribadong intimate na gawain o pagtatalik nang walang pahintulot, siya ay may pananagutan sa ilalim ng 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐕𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟗 (Republic Act No. 9995)

Ang 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐕𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟗 (Republic Act No. 9995) ay ipinasa upang protektahan ang pribasiya, dangal, at integridad ng bawat tao, lalo na laban sa mga gawain ng mahalay na paninilip (voyeurism) at sa pagpapakalat ng mga pribado o maseselang larawan at video nang walang pahintulot.

Ang mga sumusunod na gawain ay may kaukulang parusa sa ilalim ng Section 4, R.A. No. 9995:

𝟏. 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐭. Pagkuha ng larawan o video ng isang tao habang siya ay gumagawa ng pribadong gawain nang walang kanyang pahintulot.

𝟐. 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐨𝐩𝐲𝐚 𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐢. Pagkopya o paggawa ng maraming kopya ng naturang larawan o video nang walang pahintulot, kahit pa pumayag ang tao sa orihinal na pagkuha.

𝟑. 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚, 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐢, 𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭. Pagbebenta, pamamahagi, o pagpapakalat ng nasabing materyal nang walang pahintulot ng taong nasa larawan o video.

𝟒. 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚. Paglalabas o paglalathala ng materyal sa kahit anong paraan, tulad ng sa internet, pahayagan, o iba pang uri ng media, nang walang pahintulot.

𝟓. 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐀𝐰𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐢 Pagpapahintulot sa ibang tao na makita o maibahagi ang naturang materyal nang walang pahintulot, lalo na kung nalalabag ang inaasahang pribasiya ng taong sangkot.

Sa madaling salita, anumang pagkuha at paggamit ng malalaswang pribadong larawan o video nang walang pahintulot ng taong involved ay labag sa batas.

Alamin ang karapatan! Alamin ang batas!

Sama-sama nating alalahanin ang katapangan at sakripisyo sa pagtatanggol ng ating kalayaan; mga buhay na inialay upang tayo’y mabuhay nang may dignidad at karapatan.

Ang mga nakaraang laban ay naging mitsa sa pagtamasa ng mga kasalukuyang karapatan. Nawa’y magsilbi itong paalala na ang kalayaan ay may kaakibat na pananagutan at ito ay ang patuloy na paninindigan para sa isang lipunang may hustisyang payapa, makatarungan, at tunay na mapagpalaya para sa lahat.
